2018. Cytochrome C
In 2018, the students constructed a sculpture titled "Cytochrome C." This form of this sculpture represents the porphyrin of the cytochrome C enzyme while the ceramic reliefs depict species from the different kingdoms of life. Together, the sculpture speaks to the conservation of cytochrome C across kingdoms. The functional USB ports embedded in the sculpture charge small mobile devices, a nod to the role of cytochrome C in the electron transport chain.
